I am so tired of this winter weather. As part of my meal prep this weekend, I decided to mix up my usual flavors and go for a more tropical flavor profile.
Why smoothies in the morning? Is oatmeal healthy? Not really. Oats are actually acid-forming in the body. Grain-based carbohydrates cause blood sugar spikes and dips. This is not ideal fuel to start a long workday. I recommend sipping this delicious smoothie in the morning for mental clarity, blood-sugar stability and sharp, lazer-like focus.
Piña Colada Smoothie
2 bananas, chopped
1 cup of cubed frozen pineapple
2 large handfuls of baby spinach
2 cups of Harmless Coconut Water
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
